laptop/traktor s2 problems with gater

So i juss got my S2 a few days ago, i've been playing around with it and love it. My problem though is that for some reason almost every time i use gater, my kontrol cuts off, everything on screen on traktor stops and i have to turn off then on my kontrol, once its on everything resumes as it was. I dunno why its happening which is why im here...Does anyone have any idea as to what it could be or possibly help in any way??

I'm using a Gateway nv52 running windows vista with 4gb of ram..before i installed and ran everything i went through msconfig to change my boot settings so that both processors are running instead of one.
Programs im using are traktor, I also have installed FL Studio and Ableton for producing, which have both ran fine for the past 2 years..
I also copied the "power script" that djtt posted awhile back, i ran that and nothing seemed to change much and still have the problems...
