Cristy Ronnau 08.05.2012 | can you use korg nano pad with traktor pro 2 and a s2 ? |
Mona Konicek 10.05.2012 | You can have multiple midi controllers that can control the same function in Traktor. I prefer to use the pads on my Akai for certain things because they are larger. But if I wanted to, I could use whatever button controls that same function on the S2. |
Cristy Ronnau 10.05.2012 | cheers. |
Nedra Fresneda 10.05.2012 | You can use any MIDI controller alongside a S4/2 in Traktor without fearing it will interfere with their original maps. You can map anything you want to the nano. |
Cristy Ronnau 11.05.2012 | yeah it does i understand that but can i use my s2 on a standard map and then map the nano just to juse the effects with ? |
Charline Dye 10.05.2012 | I'll help shed some light on things for you. The S2 is a controller that with the stock Native Instruments mapping uses a "language" like midi (but not midi) to communicate with the Traktor program. The S2 can be put into midi mode and the user can make their own mapping for the S2 to control Traktor. The nanopad is a midi controller that when mapped to Traktor can control the software also. You can have more than one controller mapped to the software without conflicts because midi has different channels. Basically as long as controllers are on different midi channels they will not conflict. Mapping a controller to the software is just telling the software what to do when an action occurs on the controller. For example: when you press the first pad you want to go to hotcue 1 on deck A. Then you would have to make a midi mapping in Traktor that connects those functions with the first pad. More about midi mapping can be found in the Traktor manual found by clicking help in Traktor when not in full screen mode. The manual will also inform you on how to import mappings made by others. As you are new to all this, I would start by finding a mapping some one else has made for the nanopad, import it and get it working. If you wish to learn how to midi map, you will need to do some research and reading. The manual, thetraktorbible, the DJTT blog, and other resources (can be found by using Google) will tell you what you need to know. Also YouTube has a few videos that will explain how to map. Hope this helps. |

Cristy Ronnau 10.05.2012 | i was wanting to use it to controller the effects in tracks while use my s2 do you believe this will be possible to use the S2 and the nano at the same time. |
Mona Konicek 09.05.2012 | I use an Akai MPK mini that I've mapped with Traktor. I use it for more effects control and samples. If it is a MIDI controller, it more than likely can be used. Check with the mapping database here at DJTT. More than likely someone has created something that you may be looking for. |
Charline Dye 09.05.2012 | They are a midi controller. Which you will need to either map to Traktor to do what you want, or download and import a mapping for using it with Traktor. Mappings can be found on DJTT's mapping page, or at thetraktorbible.com |
Cristy Ronnau 09.05.2012 | not rele sure what these do are they a stand alone launch pad ? or do you have softwear for them ? |
Charline Dye 08.05.2012 | Yes |
