Impact of Traktor 2.5 on S2/S4, new controller releases, etc.

Would the community here believe it's a bad time to invest in a NI controller/setup as a meaningful Traktor upgrade is looming? Obviously the (non-LE) upgrade will be free on the software side - but I wonder if it might pay to bide one's time in terms of investing in any hardware.

Any thoughts from anyone?

Cheers,

There's people still using 15 year old mixers that work fine, but I doubt in 15 years anybody will still be using an S4.

I believe at the end setups are going to change to modular ones like having X1 + F1 etc.... with an external mixer!!!!!!

Won't change that much to be honest. Native has already said they are going to slightly modify their s4 default mapping to allow triggering of 8 samples on deck C and D. If however you are a Dj that uses samples and one shots a lot then the f1 will be the way to go along side the s2 or s4.
