Can you Scratch MP3 on S4?
Posted on: 22.06.2012 by Yolande Doliner
Hi
I'm new to the Traktor/S4 and wondered if it was possible to Scratch an MP3 like you can scratch on vinyl and cds?
If so, how? and do I have to re-program the S4?

Thanks in advanced

Yep, that's correct, in fact, believe of it as the same method of holding a track using vinyl, you press down and move back and forth, same for the S4 (apart from the S4 platter doesn't rotate when you let go of course )

Are you pressing down on the top plate? You should feel a slight click when you press.

Thanks for the quick reply.

When the deck is playing it increases\decreases the tempo. It only scratches when the deck isn't playing.
I would like to scratch whilst a track is playing.

yes you can. the default mapping should load itself when you plug in the s4 for the first time.
