Anyone else noticed low input levels on S4 when linking 2 S4's. Posted on: 29.12.2012 by BOUVIER Pascal Hey guys,I have a little conundrum that I have been experiencing for a while. A buddy and I pair our S4's from time to time via RCA cables. We send out from his master to my input C or D and set my Traktor to live deck. The downside is his output is so low, we try turning up the gain but it doesnt solve it enough. His main out is set to about -5db to stop clipping and headroom is off. Is it just the S4's out is pretty low? My deck always seems so much louder. Any ideas? | |

Harley Zitka 29.12.2012 | Inputs on the S4 are notably low. Even with a CDJ playing normal CD's, you have to crank the gain to get a reasonable result. |
Teresia Janusch 29.12.2012 | consumer line level is -10db, whereas professional line level is 0db...thats probably the issue...if it had another output (rec or booth) that might be worth a shot, but just further proof that the s4 isnt really a professional bit of kit. |
