Trula Willadsen 02.03.2013 | Tried it, and I believe he's using some kind of mapping because no matter what settings I try, not matter how dry or wet, I still can't find the way. Sometimes a distorted (which sounds pretty cool) sound comes out, next time I do exactly the same moves and the sound comes out completely different (and still nothing like the vid). I wish I had talent... |
Dayle Boyles 01.03.2013 | Okay, i gonna try this. But what do you mean by " its a part of the track"? |
Kellie Myrum 28.02.2013 | It's just a part of the track and Beatmasher effect on 60-70% wetness so build can still be heard in back. |
Dayle Boyles 28.02.2013 | hm i thought it would but doesnt work well. has anyone somer more ideas or a mapping? |
Dayle Boyles 25.02.2013 | ramp delay in advanced mode comes pretty close |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 24.02.2013 | could even be the auto bouncer in place of ramp delay as it has a much more intense ramp up and has a dedicated transpose but is a little more unpredictable in the first few tries. it shouldn't be too hard to figure it out though as there is only a couple of sliders |
Ossie Pooley 24.02.2013 | Yeah, it's definitely beatmasher and delay |
Jonathan Chiuchiolo 24.02.2013 | uh ramp delay in advanced mode start with the wet/dry at zero. set the duration at around 4/4 and the rate at 1/4 with feedback off. turn up the wet/dry to add delay then click the feedback button for the ramp up to begin. now turn the rate to the right all the way to ramp up the sound.; it sounded like the beatmasher was used prior to introducing the ramp delay though as stated before. it is hard to get a perfect balance between the two effects, but i'm sure stewe can figure out a mapping. |
Dayle Boyles 24.02.2013 | Thanks guys. I also tried some an couldnt really get this effect. Maybe someone knows how exactly we can get this? |
Trula Willadsen 24.02.2013 | Well, I tried the beatmasher 2, the tape delay, the delay t3 and pretty much everything else discussed here, but I still can't imitate the sound. Been trying as well as it interests me just as much as the TS. More idea's anyone? |

Rochel Papillion 23.02.2013 | Kind of related but , pioneer sent him a 900 nexus and two 2000 nexus, so will be curious to see how long b4 he stops using the s4 n how he will incorporate traktor with it zedd_pioneer.jpg |
Latoria Kavulich 23.02.2013 | my guess: part of the track + the hook effect |
Farrah Manygoats 23.02.2013 | When I saw the thread title, I wanted to guess beat masher. I haven't seen him live yet, but from videos I've seen he seems to use it a lot. |
Debra Lagrua 22.02.2013 | Funny thing....That same mix, those 3 songs, with that build up, he did live in oslo on a show i saw.....Love the guy though....Easely a fun time... |
Deangelo Boender 22.02.2013 | It sounds like a mix of a beat repeat, and a delay, but I do agree with Stewe, it does sound like there's some dry/wet work in there. I like using gaters and beatmashers by starting the effect very dry, and then bringing it in. I believe people are kind of used to hearing them hammered into the mix at full pressure, but if you bring them in very softly at first it adds a kind of "boiled frogs" feeling to the mix. |
Kellie Myrum 22.02.2013 | Masher at dry/wet 60-70% with slight pitch sweep (key or transpose). |
Lannie Kutay 22.02.2013 | I got a chance to see zedd before he got famous, and I appreciate that his mixing skills are very basic but he still does what he likes loves. |
Gaynell Rydberg 22.02.2013 | Beat masher? |
