The Industrial Techno Revolution
The Industrial Techno Revolution Posted on: 17.02.2013 by Ariane Bassil http://www.residentadvisor.net/feature.aspx?1774Nice to see the kind of tracks I like to play getting a bit of RA love. Two more artists I'd add to this resurgence are Mondkopf: and Black Asteroid: so what artists make your dark, rusty heart skip a beat? | |

Legendary. |
Ariane Bassil 25.02.2013 | Love Three o Three! It was cool to hear Gesaffelstein drop it toward the end of his Boiler Room set. Bas Mooy's another artist with that Rotterdam sound. |

But my longtime favorite is also the Speedy J - Armstrong track. Really love the hard dark bass, glitchy sounds in the background and the (I believe) reverse snare sound at the end of the break. Likely the best track of Speedy J. My contribution for today: Planetary Assault Systems - Function 4 (Shifted Remix) Watch it with the lights out, on full screen and with your monitors at max! |

Ariane Bassil 22.02.2013 | Love me some Adam Jay, Luke Creed, & Mr. Jones! Don't let the intro fool you on this one: and the unsubscribe_ (Dave Clarke & Mr. Jones) remix is quality: http://www.beatport.com/track/taiyo-...-jones/4165468 I second the recommendation for the CLR podcast. Two more I'd say to check out are Dave Clarke's White Noise, and The Public Stand with Rolf Mulder. TPS isn't a podcast, but there's a new one every week on Soundcloud |
Leeanna Ayla 22.02.2013 | And if you like any song listed in this thread I highly recommend you subscribe to the CLR podcast. I believe every one here has been played on it, have played on it or at least have been mentioned on it. |
Leeanna Ayla 22.02.2013 | Gonna rep some DJTT homeboys here http://www.beatport.com/track/barrel...tation/4000576 http://www.beatport.com/track/flat44...-remix/3611587 http://www.beatport.com/track/delphi-peja-remix/3237865 http://www.beatport.com/track/raw-2-...-remix/1797326 http://www.beatport.com/track/zoom-4...-remix/2448925 And one non-homeboy (AFAIK) http://www.beatport.com/track/engine...ersion/3228184 |
Basil Forshee 22.02.2013 | Personally, I like the downtempo ambient dub techno a bit more now, it has so much variety. But for the darker techno, there's one song that cannot be beaten. Technically, nor by its impact! Of course, I'm talking about: Lance Armstrong! How it sweeps in after those breaks, like 2:22... Just amazing. Song was made like 5/6 years ago, but many DJ's including Mr. Paapen himself are still playing it. |
Ariane Bassil 22.02.2013 | There's a reason Perc was featured so prominently in that article: Can't forget Speedy J either: |
Mi Gabele 21.02.2013 | Some tracks with these videos is just like me. |
Isis Genwright 21.02.2013 | Love this kind of techno. So dark and dirty |
Ariane Bassil 19.02.2013 | So one week you get mentioned in an article, the next you drop the podcast, sneaky bastards lol. http://www.residentadvisor.net/podca...de.aspx?id=351 RA Podcast 351 - Truss/MPIA3 Tracklist: Meibion - Calon Neil Landstrumm - Night Train - KilleKill Zebra Katz - Ima Read (ft. Reda Pontoriero 18.02.2013 | I don't like the experimental downtempo techno stuff and I thought that Tiger Stripes was a techhouse producer, but this is a real technotrack. Nice track from A. Mochi: |
Traci Knolhoff 18.02.2013 | Maybe a little less grungy than some others but... |
Ariane Bassil 18.02.2013 | This was my favorite Tommy Four Seven track of last year. It's a slow burner, and I love the way he gives it space to build: Thanks for the heads up on Mike Wall! Going through his tracks right now. Quality. Oh and MOTOR+Gary Numan+Drumcell= downtempo old school industrial goodness. |
Kasandra Kreindler 17.02.2013 | Been loving listening to these artists evolve over the past year or so that ive been listening to them, all great sounds cant get enough of it, between this , deep house, and tech house music releases have been amazing i cant collect enough of them to keep in my library |
Sina Haggans 17.02.2013 | Agree on Monoloc. Very dark style. Mike Wall makes some pretty evil live sets. Saw both of them live back to back, it was serious abuse of bass. Loved it. This was the event |
Romelia Stankard 17.02.2013 | love that first track tommy four seven? |
Ariane Bassil 17.02.2013 | Yeah! I thought Monoloc really found his sound last year. Love this one, it sounds great at 125-128 BPM too! New Indigo Kennedy release is impressive also: |
Reda Pontoriero 17.02.2013 | Monoloc for sure: |
