Getting a silver Xone 92 this week, graphite faceplate?
Getting a silver Xone 92 this week, graphite faceplate? Posted on: 02.03.2013 by Temple Cervelli In getting a Xone 92 this week, the light silver one. But really really want the graphite one, looks super dope. Is there any difference between the two other then the obvious, colour?I'm willing to get the graphite faceplate, as long as it isn't to pricey, I'm just wondering if that is possible to do, like is it laid out differently anything in a different place or will it fit fine? Also is this am easy process, or is it not as simple as u screwing, lifting off, and screwing the new one on...? | |

The dark grey one looks really cool and new, ill wait until my 92 arrives and see how much I like the silver, but I really would like the grey case! :-( |

Diogo Dj Dragão 11.03.2013 | If you're not at all handy and want to change the look of your faceplate, you may also be interested in services like StyleFlip. They offer a durable 3M cover for your faceplate that changes the look completely. The feel of the material is a lot like the Mylar used on mixers like the Rane TTM57. http://www.styleflip.com/ http://www.styleflip.com/categories_...8/xone-92-p-22 |

Valene Guasp 03.03.2013 | To be honest its a combination of pozi and torx screws, a nut around each pot and ribbon cable removal then the opposite way to the other faceplate, there may also be a small bit of soldering not 100%. If your not confident in doing it I wouldn't if I was you. Il agree the dark grey one is nicer than the light grey one aswell |
Temple Cervelli 03.03.2013 | Ahh. So if I have never done this kind of thing before, I shouldn't risk posing it myself? I do not want to break anything man.. I just really want that dark grey colour faceplate! :-( |
Valene Guasp 02.03.2013 | On Allen and Heaths the PCBs (Printed Circuit Boards) are attached to the back of the faceplate so its not as simple as unscrewing the visible screws on the faceplate and swapping it over. http://www.djworx.com/skratchworx/im...edx_inside.jpg Thats a Xone DX but is the same on a 62 and i'd imagine a 92 swell |
