Yu Santellano 14.03.2013 | Everything is being smeared together imo - the pop artists are collaborating with the dance artists, and the RnB artists, and every pop song has a rapper, and every rap song has a pop chorus and so and so forth...it's getting a bit messy, as a lot of songs are neither here nor there in terms of sound or direction, and rather than appealing to wider audiences, appeal to nobody at all. |
Jetta Drenzek 14.03.2013 | Nu rave was the stupid indie band thing in the mid 00's. Currently the UK has a booming deep house scene, call it neo, call it shit, at least it is actually house and sounds like it, not this dubstep brostep complextro glitch-hop phase we're coming out of. |
Yu Santellano 15.03.2013 | Where did calling Guetta "house" music come from anyway? So far as I'm concerned it's just pop dance music. I'm not saying I don't like music like that, because I do, but I wouldn't call it house music by any stretch of the imagination. SHM I can see peoples' points, but you've gotta remember what they do as individuals as well really. |

Random X 14.03.2013 | It could be a reaction to the 'Nu Rave' that's going on through the techno scene. |

Yu Santellano 14.03.2013 | I'm not entirely sure what he was trying to get across in that article, but what I do know is that he mentioned things I've not heard spoken of in years (and...better left that way); Lady Sovereign? Las ketchup? Jeeeeeeeez. The only thing I picked up is where this term "future garage" might come from, as I noticed Au Seve has a pretty garage-y bassline to it. But in all honesty, I've not really heard this material before. No idea how big it's meant to be/become. |
Rochel Papillion 13.03.2013 | lol, neo house is the revival of house that is kind of happening in england, at least that is what i got from this vice article http://www.vice.com/en_uk/read/whats...ce=vicetwitter |
