vestax pdx 2000 problem

hi people here goes i have always used vinyl turntables without a problem 1210s stantons etc until now ??? i just bought a pair of vestax pdx 2000s mk1 and im using m audio torq dvs with them im at my wits ends on trying to mix with these? the pitch seems really laggy? it almost seems to play catch up? not on the screen audio wise its making it near in possible to mix and its like mixing on a pair of belt drives !! has anyone got any ideas? i mean i no the pitch range is high on pdx 2000 but this dont seem right ! note this is the same problem with both decks so surly the turntables aint the problem... has anyone had this problem how have these decks been for you with beat mixing? thanks :-)
