Traktor F1 setup

I am having a hard time with this. Seems as if I downloaded everything correctly. I feel like the controllers are not in sync properly with Traktor Pro 2.61. I turn them and they seem frozen. I cant control anything from them. Totally not sure what to do.

And as far as the midi on my OS I am trying to find the icon for that and I can't. This is going to take some time.

I don't get it I'm trying. I could at least hear the remix sets in one of the controllers. But I really do NOT get it today. Sometimes it seems connected the F1 and I can work from it. And I press a button and it works for the first action but I can't tap it on a off it is locked. Totally weird. I don't believe I am going to get today.

You need to install ASIO4ALL on Windows, or open up Audio MIDI setup on Mac OS, and create an aggregate audio device between your Audio4DJ and your Audio1.

I am really sorry guru but I am totally confused. I can do all of this in which preference settings? I am so sorry if I am bothering you with my ignorance. I didn't know what I got myself into here.

Read my Edit section above.

You'd have to route both Remix decks to the same Aux input on the mixer, which shouldn't be a problem since you have F1s to control the volume of each sample.

Ok so at this time I don't have the right mixer for this do I? If I just want to set up the remix decks and just get familiar with that. I would set these up with the internal mixer yes?? And for the future what do you like for a mixer if I were to go that route.

I am SO used to just vinyl being digitized is new and I don't understand it!

I believe you can map the Vestax 05 Pro as a MIDI controller for Internal Mixing mode, as it does not have 4 channels available for you to use it as an external mixer.

You'd use your Audio 4 to output your Master Channel through Output A, and your Monitor Channel through the headphone socket on the front (Output B).

Edit: The MIDI section may only be the buttons in the middle, not the whole mixer. In which case you'll need to aggregate the Audio4 with the Audio1/Kore2 to give you 3 independant outputs. Back to External Mixing mode - the 1st two outputs would go from Traktor Deck A+B to the mixer channels LINE1 + LINE2. The 3rd output would go from both Traktor Deck C+D to the LINE 7 input of the mixer.

I have to get back to you in an hr or so I have an appointment. I had to use my computer for something else briefly. But I checked and I did not have that set up for C/D. It said not connected. I am using a 05 Pro Vestax ( dont laugh) I like it because it is durable. Thank you for your help so far I appreciate it.

I get confused with the set up wizard when it ask if I am using a external controller. Do I say yes or no. Yes gives me options of controllers I am not using. Audio1 Kore 2 Machine. Anyways thank you for your patience!

The Audio 4 DJ is a sound card with 2 stereo outputs. What are your Traktor Output Routing settings?

And what mixer are you using?

What do you have connected to your computer when using Traktor?

OK so not sure how to check what kind of sound card that I have or what I should have. It looks like the page 1 sample is playing in bank one but I can't hear anything and I can't even pull up the sound volume or mixer on Traktor. So I should start again. I probably just have a 2 channel and I need to use internal mixer? When I use the set up wizard how should I set it up. Thanks for your time.

GOD. Ok so I don't know what kind of soundcard that I have. Sorry for all the questions. The yellow lights are solid and and it says deck c on the left and d on the right. But it is like frozen there. I have one sound in the bank and I cant get it to play. Shit I am so used to more simple stuff. Can you talk to me more about the sound card?

Okay okay, you plug it in and it gives you the deck selection option with the yellow lights, correct? So you pick the bottom left to make the F1 control deck C. Then you load a sample into the remix deck, and the corresponding cell lights up, yes? When you press it, what happens?

If it looks like it's playing, but no sound, make sure the remix deck channel is turned up on the F1 (The fader) and make sure the actual mixer in the software is turned up for the whole of deck C.

If you only have a two channel sound card, you have to share all the channels into one mixer channel and mix internally.

I have a really basic set up old 05 mixer. Sound from deck a and b come through mixer but no sound no response with F1 Controllers. I am begging for guidance from the force...this shit is taking me to the darkside.

Everytime I connect and unconnect to get some kind if response. They do different things. It is showing that they are set on deck c and deck d. And there are these wonderful 4 yellow lights on the bottom left corner of 16 track pad of deck c and same on deck d bottom right 4 pads. No se que...
