OS X Mountain Lion

Does anyone else experience audio issues with ML? I'm on a mid-2012 Macbook Pro 13" running 10.8.3 and Traktor Scratch Pro 2.6.
It won't recognise my Reloop Jockey Remix unless I boot up in safe mode and even then its only MIDI. The laptop won't recognise the soundcard at all. I'm running the most recent driver and connecting through a powered USB 2.0 hub (as my MBP has USB 3.0 ports).

I heard somewhere that there's a setting in Mountain Lion that can block some external devices from being recognised. Anyone heard this before or know how I might get around it?

Thanks in advance

Yeah, I was reluctant to do that. Thought using a hub would have the same effect?
