The effects are lame and I'm not a fan of the sequencer. What do I expect for $20 though? I was believeing about picking up Beatmaker 2 to see if I like the work flow better. Glitchbreaks is fun, but seems gimmicky. I need to give it more time. |
Janyce Henningson 10.04.2013 | Yeah - I haven't tried it that way, I just connect over my wi-fi (on PC using Apple bonjour print server) and ad-hoc when on macbook - the latency is fine for a secondary controller that way. But yeah you can use the camera connection kit I believe. |
Jetta Drenzek 10.04.2013 | I have the camera connection kit, a USB to MIDI cable... and an S4. Theoretically, I should be able to combine those for direct MIDI control shouldn't I? Without having to set up an ad-hoc and all that hoo-ha |
Janyce Henningson 10.04.2013 | Yeah the superknobs are cool - when you mix them with the X-Y pads you can have some fx fun that just isn't possible with a physical controller (off-the-shelf types I mean) |

Romelia Stankard 09.04.2013 | I really wish I could find some ipad apps that were actually worth using for production I really like touchable as an app and it is very well thought out, better than lemur for controlling ableton... However I just don't find myself using it or any of the other ipad apps I've bought. I just don't believe touch screen interfaces and anything I've used are really that great in practice, which is a shame since I want them to be. |

Monserrate Rupnow 09.04.2013 | I use djay and Traktor DJ personally, didn't really get on with DJ Player though it has a lot of potential. Production apps: - Beatmaker 2 - Grarageband - Animoog - Sunrizer - iKaossilator - Figure - Samplr |
Lashay Walchak 08.04.2013 | TouchOSC w/ Live Control is really cool, if only they could implement a browser! Anyone tried the DJ Player app w/ class compliant MIDI controllers? I wonder if iPad Traktor will support controllers in the future? |

Lashay Walchak 08.04.2013 | Samplr is SUPER powerful stuff. Surprised there haven't been more "routine" style vids featuring it. I've gone into iFile and copied/pasted all the audio files from iMpc and Launchpad into Samplr's default library to give me a bunch of good sample content to twist up. |
Kandi Odom 08.04.2013 | All Korg APP are great!!!!! |
Maude Milesky 08.04.2013 | imaschine by NI |
Barton Rigazio 08.04.2013 | Nanostudio!! DAW with a fast and very easy workflow. ToucOSC for customized MIDI control. Fun Run for taking a break from mixing and producing :-) |
Ena Semenko 08.04.2013 | I believe IMPC is one of finest DJ/music related app for iPad as it provides numerous enhanced DJ features that you will definitely love. |
Janyce Henningson 08.04.2013 | http://mididesigner.com/ Easy, quick, prefer it to touchosc |
Bunny Sockel 08.04.2013 | TouchOsc |
Lauretta Ehrhorn 08.04.2013 | Decent list there. Keep checking freeappfinder or similar apps to pick up stuff for free. I got the DM1 for nothing a couple of months back. |
Maile Dekerlegand 08.04.2013 | samplr konkreet performer steppolyarp dm1 beatsurfing polyplayground flail thumbjam chordmapmidi |
Maile Dekerlegand 08.04.2013 | soundprism audiobus animoog arpegionome yamaha arp & dr pad |
Meaghan Machold 07.04.2013 | Beatmaker 2 is great. So is impc. Impc is great if ur used to the workflow of an mpc. If not, it can b a bit tough. Still... Both apps are very cheap for what they feature. |
