Mix Architekt posted this pic on his facebook page with the comment "and so it begins..." Anybody know what it is?

Yeah, the last time I spoke with him he was knee deep in modular synths. It could quite literally be anything.

I'm just hopeful, more than anything that it's DJ related. I don't believe it's the new A&H mixer though. The pics have already been circulated and that screen is not the same as the one on the QU-16.

I can confirm that this is the new Allen & Heath Xone 92: DB4 Nexus Edition with built in Xcordbox integration.

that screen looks a little low tech...also, those buttons look like crap, this doesnt look like A&H quality but i guess hard to tell in darkness...

Hmm, I'm having second thoughts now regarding his statement. But knowing A&H, they'll never put such VU meters on their DJ gear . Or it must be a Xone 62.

hmmm

4 channels seems a little light to be something studio related

maybe another xlink device?
nayit ruiz jaramillo

Yeah that's the QU-16. There's a video of that mixer on the A&H site. The screen is way bigger and it's a 16 channel digital mixer/recording console.
Pretty sure it's not that.

I saw teaser for new xone console somebody posted here earlier. It has touch screen on board so maybe this could be it...

Quote from Tim: "If i was teasing, i'd say 4 channels of fun from Marcoussis, FR."

Oh gods could it be a 4d replacement :-O
Wasn't the Xone k2 the Xone 2d replacement.. Did they decide they forgot features in the K2 and now want to roll out yet another rendition that people will drop 300 bones on?

I don't believe it's a Xone controller. Allen&Heath would use the same display from the DB4/2 with a bigger size for a DJ controller.

Add to that, that Mix Architekt is pretty much an all round DJ/musician/producer so yeah, it could be anything from the A&H stable but... it's posted on his DJ page (kinda) so i'm inclined to believe that it is DJ related.
nayit ruiz jaramillo
12.04.2013
I'd like to believe that it isn't.
There have been some much better images posted by A&H than that posted by Tim which kinda makes it pointless if it is the same thing.

Just checked his personal Facebook but there is nothing on there.

He's probably reading this and giggling.

I was hesitant to call it new controller because I wasn't sure if it was just a firmware update to something existing, but that screen doesn't look familiar. Plus they have so much other stuff in the audio world I don't really know much about.
