Which do you use? What do you believe is the best?

I am partial to my crane. Its never fallen over and takes a crapload of abuse!

yep. about 1 1/2 inches or so mate. the foot swings 360 and the shelf about 270. you can have the foot as it is in the pic or forward so you can side it under your gear.

TBH you can say that about anything in your local store - the mark up on everything is insane. Welcome to life.

I figured you'd want it to stand taller not shorter. Yeah it can go super low in that config BUT if you're using the optional "shelf" you might want to have it out the back depending on what you're putting on it. I LOVE my crane stand and wouldn't trade it for anything.

Another vote for Crane Stand Pro. It's so versatile and stable.

I have a Crane Stand Pro and love it. Plus the little tray it comes with you attach to the legs can come in really handy. Ya it's expensive, but you get a lifetime warrantee and the stand is solid. Never had it fall on me.

Yeah I looked at both and they too high for the purpose I have in mind.

I have the Numark branded version of this Griffin stand. I like it, but it is kinda bouncy...

I use a Griffin Elevator, they're quite common around here as they sell them in Apple stores.

I want a stand that's on a swivel mount that can be mounted on the far left or right of me since I feel so many djs spend too much time looking at their screens instead of the eyes of the crowd

Yup it's not very portable lol. But I'm a mobile guy so it just goes in with the rest of my gear.

I love the road ready stand but portability becomes a huge issue with permastands. I used to have that same stand. I believe its chillin in my closet somewhere.
