Libbie Orion 19.04.2013 | actually i have it all attached through a powered HUB so i pull that USB out of the laptop Also i do turn off the power to the S4 no need to have it running,, and burn energy if nothing is goingto happen there for a few days |
Delila Vandommelen 19.04.2013 | Option five - "I plug in less and less" |
Loyce Mekonen 18.04.2013 | I always unplug stuff since my dj desk is quite far from my usual work desk. If I ever get around to buy a decent/cheap second laptop I can use for anything then I might leave my current laptop on my dj desk. As of now, I don't really mind unplugging and plugging stuff. |
Latoria Kavulich 18.04.2013 | always pull out. take my advice kids. |
Dorie Scelzo 18.04.2013 | I don't really unplug anything unless I have to. When I had only one computer, I unplugged a lot. Now, I really only do it when I'm moving things. Except when I need to use it for something else, my MBP is constantly connected to power and my DDJ-SX, which is always connected to its power, headphones, and speakers. My hackintosh is always conncted to my auido interface. My Maschine tends to live in a gear bag except when I'm using it, but that's actually because my cat really likes to steal the knobs to play with them and I've been too cheap/lazy to even see if they make decksavers for it. Plus, I like having an uncluttered desk, and the Maschine takes up a lot of space. I'm working on changing things so I'll never have to believe about it again, but I've been really busy lately. I need to see if I can get a snare stand or something to hold it off to the side, but I'd settle for a decksaver to protect it from my cat. My DJ and "production" (read: desktop, and everything it does) rigs are in different rooms. If I started incorporating Maschine into my performances the way I keep believeing about, I'd probably buy a second one. Really, though, not unplugging things is a luxury afforded by owning 3 computers. When I finally finish migrating everything I used to use my MBP for to my believepad, the MBP may never move again unless I randomly start gigging. |
Jorge Furber 18.04.2013 | I have to unplug everything because my MBP is my only computer and I use it for everything, school, work, hobbies, DJing. I don't mind that because everything is connected to my USB hub so it's only 1 cable (instead of like 7 or 8 that are plugged into the hub). |
Emelina Chillson 18.04.2013 | I use a desperate computer for production, dj 'king, and personal use. |
Arnulfo Morten 18.04.2013 | yes i unplug 1 usb and the power . 10 plug powered usb hub here 1 usb chord to connect everything to my laptop. Everything is kensington locked and i just unplug 1 usb and power take my laptop with me bought a spare charger so i don't have to remove anything except my laptop from my home setup when playing out. |
Merlyn Birchfield 18.04.2013 | I use my MBP for all sorts of things, and my gear hangs in the garage. So yes, I unplug when not using. |
Tamela Batara 18.04.2013 | Nothing. But then I have a dedicated PC for music duties. All other computer like stuff is done either on my personal laptop, personal android phone, or works ultrabook. |
Leeanna Ayla 18.04.2013 | Nothing |
Ashanti Andreacchio 18.04.2013 | Never ever unplug anything. I have a Macbook Pro for DJ'ing and is only used for that I have a flightcase for my DDJ SX with an intergated power strip and a powered USB hub. I use my iMac for everything else producing music, downloading, internet and gaming . Have a M-Audio firewire solo connected as soundcarl and use that as main sound too. I have my Guitar and mic always connected to the M-Audio and midi keyboard and Mashine always connected to my iMac. The M-Audio is roothed trough a line on my DDJ SX that is connected to my Event 20/20 studio monitors. Only time I ever disconnect anything is when I go out giging. I only need to dissconnect 3 cables and ready to go and at the club I only need to plug in the power and line out of the DDJ SX and power up and play. I don't see any reason why to unplug anything if your going to do something not music related on a computer. |
