Meaghan Machold 23.04.2013 | if u want to play your tracks, you should start out as a DJ. Not ALL successful producers out there started out as DJs.. but DJ is a key skill in not online learning how tracks should mix, but also what sounds good and what doesn |

Meridith Betsinger 23.04.2013 | Like others have mentionned, get involved locally. There is nothing worse than a newbie who comes into a scene believeing they are the king and who believe they have everything to offer when locally there's already a lot (or a little, it doesn't matter) going on. It's imperative to know what's happening, if you run without having a clue, then you'll have no support from anyone and you'll most likely piss off other people in the scene. While such reactions may seem childish, I'd simply consider them human decency; you're planning ahead, GOOD, but be humble and don't rush into something you can't already handle or else you'll be over in a hot minute. |

Augustine Mitzen 23.04.2013 | percussion programming (no groove) + bad choice of samples - try adding some high end percs (hats, cymbals), play with velocity mixdowns arrangement (lots of stuff clashing on that Late Nights tune for example) sound design, although it's the least important from the four |

Danuta Keyton 22.04.2013 | just listened to your tracks on soundcloud... definitely need a lot of work on production (coming from a listener's perspective, not a producer's) |

Ethel Feigum 21.04.2013 | At this point I'd work on establishing relationships within the scene. Don't push yourself onto anyone as a producer/dj until you actually have something to show. Spend time at clubs, meet the people into the same kind of music, and get involved! That way, by the time you are ready, you should already have a good idea who to talk to and where to go to find those gigs. Don't get ahead of yourself! |
Cindie Somoza 21.04.2013 | Patience, which you don't seem to show much of. |

Julissa Serrone 21.04.2013 | If you want to play at clubs, you have a better chance if you are part of the scene. Clubs/promoters want DJ's that know people, understand the crowd, and ultimately can put people inside the club. It takes a little more than just a mix or a good track to get booked. Get out and meet people is the best way of landing gigs. |

Bunny Sockel 21.04.2013 | To be honest your tracks aren't on a level where clubs would book you based on the music you make. |
Gaynell Rydberg 21.04.2013 | This is the thing though, you keep planning ahead. You're living in the future, speculation. Live in the present! |
Ethel Feigum 21.04.2013 | Network with other local djs. It's gonna be tough starting out with your own productions, approach cafes and lounges or other spots that don't have a top 40 crowd and see about getting a evening
. It's been my experience that if you get your name and your mixes out there, gigs will come to you. I'm also gonna share in the concern that you might not be ready for live gigs, given your history on this community ... Do you have any tracks or mixes that we can listen to? How much music do you have, and how do you plan to perform it? |

Bunny Sockel 21.04.2013 | Just go to a club that plays the same genre as you and give the manager a mixtape and if he likes it you will get booked. Pretty simple stuff |
Anabel Sanderfoot 21.04.2013 | anything? |
