Suggestion for DJTT videos: "Pro DJ, Cheap Gear" challenge?
Posted on: 25.04.2013 by Dannie Dimora
Hey there

As a hobbyist photographer i love watching videos from the guys over at DigitalRev (they make funny instructional videos on photography), and the other day i was re-watching all of their "Pro Photographer, Cheap Camera" series, where they give crappy old plasticky cameras to world-renowned photographers, and let them squeeze all the juice out of the gear that is available.
Just as an example they gave Chase Jarvis a camera made out of legos.

So let's get to the point
What if Ean himself invited some pro DJs to DJTT HQ and gave them, for example, a pair of cdj100s, or two utterly destroyed turntables with some worn down vinyl or whatever else comes to mind, some first-gen USB controllers maybe?

What do you guys believe about this? I believe it would enlarge the DJTT community a lot, especially if they did it in a funny/sarcastic way as the DigitalRev guys do

Yeah that would be the point, to attract more people
Also, to add some fun to the community

I love this idea and I'm sure it would be really cool! The only problem I see is that most DJ's seem to already be in a tight schedule as it is even for a short interview. Making them spin something on whatever is that they could find would probably require making a routine which is more time that has to be devoted. Granted, some could probably do it... but these videos would be too scarce sadly.
