Rena Estabrook 18.06.2013 | If you got the skills to make it sound good, do it. |
Yong Aptekar 18.06.2013 | I quite enjoy scratching to some neurofunk |
Ervin Calvery 18.06.2013 | I like scratching outside of hip hop just fine. You could tease the track coming in - I like to fade in while scratching the first beat and drop it in time with the track that's already playing. |
Alla Bluemke 18.06.2013 | bad boy bill |
Ara Tima 18.06.2013 | James Zabiela used to be great at it.. He plays techno/house/breaks... |
Tonita Mujanovic 18.06.2013 | check out DJ Ricky Jay ( djrickyjay.com ) or droppingneedles.com , ricky jay does lots of scratching with dance songs ( top 40, electronic, etc. ) for the droping needles website , skip to ricky's set within the podcasts, if you go with his website the canada tour mix has some tight clean scratching. |
Lannie Kutay 18.06.2013 | It can be done in house music, no cutting just scratching, but you gotta be really fast. |
Addie Engbrecht 18.06.2013 | I cut up or scratch or both, the kicks or snares when dropping a song into a mix normally, but when I get into house (don't play dubstep or trapstep or any other genre off the beaten path) I generally just blend or drop in songs, but I do sometimes scratch in a kick and I aslo will echo scratch out a vocal or prominent instrumental of a house song from time to time. I don't do an all out scratch solo in a middle of a house song, and very very rarely do that with any genre really |
