Music blog recommendations?
Music blog recommendations? Posted on: 20.06.2013 by Marcelina Hanaway I've recently discovered music blogs. I know, I know - old man over here. I play deep house, nu-disco, and indie-electronic stuff. Any recommendations for good blogs within these genres? | |

Merlyn Birchfield 21.06.2013 | http://www.thehouseofdisco.com/ <== this is a great one, too... lots of great "Tweet to pay" tracks. |
Marcelina Hanaway 20.06.2013 | Been busy checking out all these sites. Couple of good finds thus far. Thanks, guys! |

Gaynell Rydberg 20.06.2013 | I use hypemachine if I run out of stuff on themusicninja. It's a good site, but it doesn't get updated frequently enough (top 50), and the constantly updating list is full of bad stuff. |
Merlyn Birchfield 20.06.2013 | And welcome, nudedude... lots of great info and resources on this community . |
Marcelina Hanaway 20.06.2013 | Great stuff, all. Really appreciate the feedback. Digging this community . |
Merlyn Birchfield 20.06.2013 | Continuing the theme of shameless self-promotion I run a blog called PassionateDJ.com, though it's not a "music blog". It's informational... discussion on how to become a better DJ through passion and purpose, information on new gear and technologies, DJing as an art form, and so-on. For the sake of relevance, here's one of my posts called 25 Ways to Find Good Music Online. As mentioned, Hype Machine is a good start. |
Malka Wickerham 20.06.2013 | Detroit Techno House I'm kinda partial to it. LOL. |
Darlene Strohbeck 20.06.2013 | IMO, Indie Shuffle is the best music discovery blog there. Both the web and mobile app platform allow you to play music, from the "indie" side of any number of genres ranging from Chillout and Ambient, to Indie Rock, Hip Hop, and my personal favourite, Indie-Electronic/Indie Dance. |
Marcelina Hanaway 20.06.2013 | Thank you, kind sir. I came across The Hype Machine, but that just looks like it's going to take me on a never-ending journey through musical time and space. |
Gaynell Rydberg 20.06.2013 | themusicninja is my favorite. Covers all genres (little trance though). They post up a lot of new and young artists before they get big too so they're good if you want to drop songs that people haven't heard before. |
