To add on to this. KABUSA actually offers a strobe disable mod for the 1200 because it helps reduce noise by disabling the LED.

Kabusa mods are great...just not for a dj...more for audiophiles. He has a tuning record he uses instead of strobe to calibrate

Itsw gotta be a pain in the ass to tune the turntable without the strobe.

+1 on the voltage regulator though. A 7805 should do the job nicely.

use a +5v voltage regulator and tap into the target light power. you can place the hub anywhere it will fit
