How can I phase shift Maschine to manually sync to an external source?

Hi all,

I've been trying to figure out how I can shift the phase of Maschine in order to beat match to another source that isn't midi-synced. Once I set the BPM to match and click play how can I shift the phase? Is it even possible to do that in the same way you would shift the phase in Traktor?

Cheers and thanks!

do you mean 'riding' the pitch using the maschine tempo encoder in place of a fader? that sounds like a PITA to keep it in phase

Standalone Maschine doesn't have nudge controls so far... all you can do is host it as a VST and rely on the hosts transport controls. I believe

i would dearly love it if they brought out an update sometime soon with nudge controls where the existing back/forward arrows are tempo nudge... alas other than offering up a couple of new expansions things have gone all quiet with maschine :/

Yeah there is a "nudge" on the Maschine but if you hold the shift key and use it you'll see that it's actually MOVING THE WHOLE KIT PATTERN! Def cannot use that for syncing Maschine with a CDJ. I just ride the pitch. And yeah. It sux serious ass.

I use the reset button as a sort of cue beat sync method. Just match BPM and hit reset until it sounds in sync and mix it in. Ride the tempo if your track is wack.

If they ever let us turntable nudge Maschine I'll be in heaven.
