Configuration Setup Help! 2 DJ's + 2 Kontrol S2's + 1 Mac Laptop
Configuration Setup Help! 2 DJ's + 2 Kontrol S2's + 1 Mac Laptop Posted on: 09.08.2013 by Glynda Scerra My friend and I are trying to connect 2 Kontrol S2's to my mac laptop. We import a .tsi that has 4 deck control for the s2 and turn on one of the S2's and then turn on the next and you completely lose control over the first S2. Not sure why that is happening. Also only one S2 shows up in the drop down list for ins and outs. Is there away to make Traktor see the second S2 under a different name or something? Not sure what to do! Or is there a computer sync solution that wouldn't require any external sound cards? THANKS FOR THE HELP! | |
Glynda Scerra 09.08.2013 | Hey Happydan. Thanks for the suggestion. What we ended up doing is sending traktor's midi signal out of one computer, through a network with the AUDIO MIDI Setup via Ethernet cable. Then after some other internal traktor settings we were able get ours sync'd using the metronome. Only problem is we wanted to hear each other's tick so we would know we are in time with each other but i believe there might be an easier way to do this than using a headphone splitter. Any ideas there so we can hear each other's headphone cue'ing? (Anyone who may need help setting up the MIDI network and routing it through traktor can email me @ [email protected] )

The problem lies in the fact both S2s are wrestling for control of the software as they are both NI products. You may not even be able to get it working at all. You'd be better off getting a cheap mixer and routing both into it and having separate laptops. |
