Thinking of getting either the white timecode vinyl or maybe even the crazy glow in the dark green vinyl, just wanted to know if anyone has it and if they have had any problems with any of them? or they just as good as the original ones ??

I had to go through at least 20 orange ones to find 4 that weren't chipped or otherwise defective. might have been the first batch, or due to some problems en route to the dealer I purchased them from - but still worth taking a closer look in-store rather than ordering them.

Yeah ive done a few times.

Obviously its personal preference but if i were you Paul id get a pair of white timecodes. They are the thickest (along with the fluorescent) but they look awesome.

Dont get 2 different colours cus you will have 2 different feeling timecodes.
When they first came out i was undecided and my g/f bought me 1 red and 1 white for my birthday and i thought they would look great being odd coloured but in fact it just did my head in (cus im a bit ocd).

Your playing house and my pref is for thicker vinyl that you can apply more pressure on.

Clear look great if you have some nice slipmats.

Well i got the Audio 8 when i bought TSP, and it's brilliant, but if I'm packing light (eg going to a mate's place or whatever) I don't want to carry it cos it weighs a ton. So I picked up a discounted Audio 2.

Have you ordered them vinyls Paul? Where'd you get them?
I've purchased an Audio6 + Scratch Duo 2 for dirt cheap but I'm probably going to need to buy the vinyls myself, so I was wondering if you found any cheap retailers (considering we're both from EU)

I'd go for white personally, and I like my decks to look symetrical

those of u who have the coloured vinyl, im unsure whether to get 2 the same or go for like the fluro green and fluro orange 1 of each or a pair of white, which look good? i believe the white do look good but i seen a video and the orange looked pretty slick glowing up lol

depending how deep the grooves are... but for sure less prone to get "wavy"

Never get any 78RPM in your hand? Damn heavier

Do thicker records wear slower?
Leeanna Ayla

it might give a little benefit because it's still playing a sound, but I can't imagine it being very noticeable.

bit that always threw me was, when i used to buy vinyl; tracks would come on different thicknesses to each other. i didn't scratch so wasn't a biggy, but just never figured out why some came on an easier to scratch plate, when it was house...

saying that, thicker vinyl, deeper grooves, better sound...

It's just down to the fact that when scratching you want to be able to move the record with the least amount of pressure possible while when mixing you want to be able to make tiny adjustments and reducing the chance of pushing it too far as a result of the free beer the bar is supplying you with :P

i believe thickier/heavier ones are more biased towards straight mixing and thinner/lighter ones are more scratching... can't remember the reason behind that difference right now though...

Got the fluoro blue ones and they don't really glow (or do they only work under blacklight?)

Aside from that they (and the white ones I've had) are fine ..

I have the orange Fluorescent vinyl and it works great. Not warped at all. I believe I got the last pair from Amazon sold my a major distributor. #swag.

I have the green ones and they are SICK. They glow really bright. Mine work great.

Every timecode vinyl SHOULD be the same. Its the same vinyl plastic just with colors and UV snaz.

I got some white ones that give me no problem.
Also it might be handy having multiple control vinyls since they wear out in about 4 to 6 months.
Moar colors & less wear n tear seems like win-win to me
