I believe this has to do with DJTT being more incorperated with NI not Vestax.

Why would you want to do that? It's bad enough we have people resting stuff on top of CDJs.

I believe they might even be phasing out the all-in-one view of controllers, if not this is a definite sign for a new S4/S2 coming out
Same thing I got from it.. sounds like a refresh to the S family coming soon!

I love my S2. Better remix deck integration and/or lcd readouts would be nice additions. Might make me consider upgrading my S2. But buying a Maschine is higher on my list of things to buy.

VCI-400 was kind of a flop in my opinion. From what I hear they had lots of problems with it.

They could sure fix the pitch faders on the damn things which are next to useless.

I can't imagine getting an S2/S4 mk2 unless they put waveforms on the unit tbh.

It is going to be a busy September/October for NI, both the S2/S4 are getting a refresh. Also the Maschine with free expansions sale is ending on August 31st as well. So I believe we'll be getting a paid Maschine 2.0 update.

I believe there will be a new S2 on the way. The S2 is looking a little long in the tooth now and I believe a new one could incorporate some of the features featured on the X1 MKII, F1 and will have a mixer layout similar to the Z1. You never know, they may even do away with the jogs and stick two touch strips on it similar to the novation twitch (I kinda doubt it though).

You never know with NI. They did that price drop on the Z2 and that was just a bit after it was launched. There was never a massive discount (unless I missed it) on the X1 before the MK2 came out, so who knows.

It's all getting foggy with NI going for modular systems. X1 MK2 + F1 + Z2 = Beefed up S2 - Jogwheels/pitch faders.
