Hearing Damage
Hearing Damage Posted on: 31.08.2013 by Everette Akhtar So i went out to the club 5/7 days this last week, and 3/7 the week before that. After one of the shows at a club with a very loud system, and a DJ who Im pretty sure was red-lining every rise that had a bunch of white noise, I have been experiencing a clicking in my left ear and Im pretty sure it's damaged. Thinking about starting to wear earplugs to these things, but I dont want to look all weird walking around in a club with earplugs.... Also I am wondering what is a safe decibal range to produce music at while Im in my studio, to reduce further unneccessary damage. Thanks for any advice! | |

Arnulfo Morten 01.09.2013 | its 6am and i just got home from the club lol wear the the damn plugs. Mine are aqua candy blue plugs and girls love em!!! there the conversation starter or a good excuse to get closer to a chic while talking haha i got to feel the bass and can now sleep without annoying ringing. my plugs are -25db most dj's play like at 102-110 db when there redlining. The only crappy part is you get mistaken for staff or another dj.... ahah |
Alphonso Deitchman 31.08.2013 | There are more subtle options out there too. http://www.amazon.com/Alpine-Hearing...pine+ear+plugs |

Alphonso Deitchman 31.08.2013 | All clubs play music at a damaging level, so you should wear plugs every time if you want to avoid hearing loss. I believe the safe level for producing/listening is around 85 dB. |
