BPM Show 2013, what to do in Birmingham on a Saturday night?
Posted on: 01.09.2013 by Stanley Peckman
Visiting the show for the first time, basically my good mate and me are using the show as an excuse for a weekend away. So, cheap flights from Edinburgh Sat morning and flying back Sunday evening.

My question isn't really about the show; anyone got any ideas where we can go on the Saturday evening ?

We are staying in the town centre and would like to go to club/place that caters for the ahem, 'older crowd' and doesn't have arsey door staff that don't let you in if you look over 30. Want a good evening , not a hassle evening .

Never stayed in Brum at a weekend before so really looking forward to this one.

Thanks in advance for any advice

Custard Factory always has good stuff on.

I have a ton of mates in Brum. I'll ask if theres anything on that evening . Theres always something, even if it is some hippy "Knit Your Own Yoghurt - D&B bollocks" hahaha kidding (but Brum is full of hippies).

No word on parties, official or otherwise. I'm sure word will filter out soon enough. I believe we should hide in the hall and kick one off when everyone else has gone. The Vestax Dance party goes on until 8pm in the Chauvet arena on Sunday.

I believe Custard Factory used to be where the hip kids were, but I'm not sure if they do any raves anymore. I would avoid going to the "official" events.

I always thought it would be cool to host a bit meet-up somewhere for DJTT/djworx/ddjtips and give people a chance to smash out some tunes.

I'll try to find out if there are any off-broadway events. I'm travelling down as part of the djworx crew.
