Brunilda Kora 02.09.2013 | Does everyone understand the difference between a stereo splitter and a dual mono splitter? That what we're all talking about here: Stereo splitter - starts of as ONE L+R, and both L+R's get split, then combined TOGETHER again. ------------> L+R ---L+R ------------> L+R This effectively gives you TWO IDENTICAL (stereo) outputs. Dual Mono splitter - starts of as ONE L+R, and both L+R's get split, then combined SEPARATELY again: ------------> L+L ---L+R ------------> R+R This effectively gives you TWO DIFFERENT (Dual Mono) outputs. There is also a Mono Splitter (not much use to anyone): Dual Mono splitter - starts of as ONE L+R, and both L+R's get split: ------------> L ---L+R ------------> R Not great, bcause, you'll only get audio in one speaker, and one side of your headphone. Of course, this is usable, and buying one of these and some additional mono > dual mono cables will do exactly the same job as the Dual Mono splitter. But, you'll have additional connections in your signal path, and some people don't like that! (It doesn't bother me - if I can save a few quid with some "creative cabling" then I will!) |

Meg Reinoehl 01.09.2013 | Has anyone used one of these with the iOS apps? If this, in fact, properly duplicates the stereo signal then why aren't companies like Griffin and NI making these stupid dual-mono splitters? http://www.hosatech.com/products/340...al_3.5_mm_TRSF |
Sonja Roybal 14.08.2013 | I got the Griffin for $7 on Best Buy's site. |

Alphonso Deitchman 14.08.2013 | The Griffin one has an L connector too at half the price. |
Meg Reinoehl 15.08.2013 | I like that this NI cable has an L-shape connector. It's not a game changer or anything and not necessarily worth $20, but it's at least *A* reason that this would be more ideal to get than any other similar product. |

Efrain Scharr 13.08.2013 | I got one at the dollar store when I was a kid so me and my high school girlfriend could listen to my walkman together.. now its a DJ tool, go figure... fucking dopes. |
Monserrate Rupnow 13.08.2013 | Yeah, though I'd personally prefer a lightening adaptor Oh well, I knew it was unlikely when I saw it connected to the headphone socket, but you never know... |

The tricky thing is finding one which splits a stereo input into two joint stereo outputs; one from the left channel and one from the right channel; rather than just splitting a stereo signal into two MONO channels, or duplicating both stereo channels. Tbh, if there's actually any interest in the NI cable, I could probably come up with a funky-looking alternative |
Samuel Stamaria 13.08.2013 | Seriously this is ridiculous.. |

Brunilda Kora 13.08.2013 | I am gob-smacked buy this. If you can't find a cable that does exactly this for |
Nedra Fresneda 13.08.2013 | It's Traktor branded, that is a lot more!...................... |

Ardith Leabo 13.08.2013 | I'll have to buy it because NI made it. It's only logical. |

Monserrate Rupnow 13.08.2013 | Is it dual mono just like the djay cable? |
Michell Wehrmeyer 13.08.2013 | DJTT already did a full article on this cable. |
