Using a Zoom H4N Recorder
Posted on: 11.09.2013 by Heriberto Milks
Has anyone had experience using the Zoom H4N recorder to record DJ sets?
I made the grave mistake of not realizing that the XLR ins were MIC level and not LINE level, so my first attempt to record a live set at a club was disastrous. The test I ran prior to that was using the 1/4" jacks, and it wasn't too bad of a problem obviously.

Anyway, curious about your experience with that recorder and suggestions for using it to record sets at a club.
I'm kinda almost wondering if I would be better off swapping this out with a different device?

I'm asking a similar question on a different community , but not a lot of DJ's on there, from what I gather in the responses.
