is there any point in beat-gridding your tracks?
is there any point in beat-gridding your tracks? Posted on: 16.09.2013 by Kandis Smollen I'll start off by saying that I DO NOT USE SYNC while DJing.. I do everything traditional-style with my ears and jog wheels and match my beats this way.. so with this being said.. is there any real reason why I should manually beat-grid my tracks in rekordbox? | |

Latoria Kavulich 16.09.2013 | You just answered you own question. |
Delena Katherman 16.09.2013 | I don't use Rekordbox, but in general don't you need to have beat-gridded songs in order to use beat-synced effects (like delays, gaters, etc)? You may know where the beats are, but your software/hardware/whatever needs to know so it can apply effects correctly (whether you use 'sync' or not). That's how Traktor works with my DVS even though I manually match beats. |
