Reply to Recording DJ mix through Mixer into Apogee Duet

hello,

i have a simple question in regards to hooking up my my cdj's into my vestax mixer going into my apogee duet (1st generation).

i have 2 RCA's coming out of my Vestax mixer into the duet via both XLR inputs (XLR 1 & XLR 2)

my issue is this when i set up a stereo channel in Logic Pro i only get audio coming out of one channel (the left one, XLR 1) and nothing is coming out of the right (XLR 2).

i have meastro set up with both inputs on XLR Mic under maestro control.

i've also tried adding 2 mono channels in Logic with both having the same inputs (XLR 1) but Logic won't let me record them both simultaneously and i've also tried changing the inputs on both the 2 mono channels to XLR 1 and XLR 2 but when I record them both, only audio is coming out of XLR 1.

what do i need to do to set up my system so i could record my dj mixes in stereo so i could get both input's recording both left and right channels respectfully?
