S4 software without the actual controller Posted on: 08.11.2010 by Sammie Filetti Hi all!I was wondering if anybody knows if NI have plans of launching the S4 version of TSP without the hardware? Just like everyone else on the board I guess, I wanna use the new sample decks and all that, with a regular ol' Audio8. Plus, I use turntables and the S4 controller don't have DVS yet, so... | |

Dillon Paganini 08.11.2010 | damn that aint bad. like 800 bones there. But I don't really need an audio 8. audio 4 at best if i can get ableton rigged into traktor pro |
Leeanna Ayla 08.11.2010 | I believe the update for the S4 to have scratch functionality will be similar to what it costs to go from Pro to Scratch now. If you already have a scratch license though I believe it'll be a better deal plus you get an Audio 8 and TSP will not always be half price. Think of it as an investment that either gets you a free Audio 8 or a free TSP license depending on which one you eventually sell. |

Dillon Paganini 08.11.2010 | why do you say scratch? I don't have turntables, just for the future possibilities? |
Leeanna Ayla 08.11.2010 | I believe it will be a paid update, and I also believe it would be worth it to buy Scratch while it's on sale. I've been wrong before though. |
Dillon Paganini 08.11.2010 | so you guys believe it will be just an upgrade? I am waiting for these sample decks before I jump at any software purchases |

Marshall Aby 08.11.2010 | 99 euro paid update was my prediction. No official word yet though |
Tatum Ansaldo 08.11.2010 | If we're lucky it will be a low price upgrade, kinda mac OSX Snow leopard level rather than XP > Vista. note: see how I managed to be totally bipartisan with that comment? Soz Linux users |
Wanda Insel 08.11.2010 | I have a sneaky suspicion it will be paid. I may be wrong (and would be so happy if I am) but that is quite a lot extra as a free upgrade? |

Maisie Marras 08.11.2010 | depends on how eager you are to get it. |
Sammie Filetti 08.11.2010 | Yeah, good suggestions. I'm wondering if I should buy the whole TSP package now, and then upgrade the software when it comes, since TSP is so super cheap right now. The current discount+an upgrade later will maybe be cheaper than to buy the whole thing after the upgrade. What do you believe? |
robin loo 08.11.2010 | the S4 software is coming out as an payed upgrade from traktor pro. my guess is some time early next year.. probably when the S4 soft gets timecode.. |
Maisie Marras 08.11.2010 | supposedly TP and TSP should be getting sample decks at one point |
