S4 BPM Not Showing

S4 BPM Not Showing
Posted on: 11.01.2011 by Jerome Burruss
I know this has been posted before, but I couldn't find it by searching... so sorry for the repost.

Whenever adding new tracks to iTunes, I analyze them in S4, then it shows the BPM in the deck, but doesn't add it to the listing in browsing. I've even added the tracks to the collection, but no avail, and restarted the program.

The solution is to 'unload' the track that is in the deck.
This forces Traktor to update the tag info and display the BPM.

This happened to me too.

What I did was first analyse to songs and then replace the tracks with new version (which I have analysed for song key using Mixed In Key) and it didn't work. Do you have any idea?

Thanks to all, but I just solved the problem. (Actually, I have no idea, it just started to work again haha).

I had a few tracks with 0.00 showing while browsing the collection, but like I said they're not there anymore so I can't really confirm how to fix it. Are you browsing the collection OP?

Are you browsing the file system, or the actual collection files? There's a HUGE difference here.

Are the tracks with no BPM from various sources or can you narrow it down to one? I had a couple of tracks like that the other day, but I was busy so I didn't try to fix them when I saw them. I just opened traktor and no full length song shows up with 0.00 BPM anymore. So try to right click and analyze the tracks again or check consistency.

Some of my tracks in Traktor had really screwed up BPMs. I discovered that in order to show the real BPM, I had to go into Grid mode and click on the reset button. Try it out.

Most Beatport, others iTunes, some Soundcloud. This is my "Pot Smokers" playlist I just made today haha.

The BPM shows up in the deck, however it doesn't update in the browsing listing, only certain tracks do.

Is the BPM column there? Have you scrolled left to see if it's there, just not visible? You can right click on a column and and select BPM to make it visible.
