S4 Shipping abroad
S4 Shipping abroad Posted on: 21.02.2011 by Tiffanie Lebarron Im sure some of the DJTT users have ordered the S4 controller from outside the US. Basically my question is after shipping costs and the cost of the controller is there any excise tax that must be paid. I am asking because after p&p an S4 controller from the DJTT store would cost me about 700 euro whereas to buy from thomann its around the 850 mark. Obviously buying from the online store is a better deal but will i be charged a ton extra when it arrives?I would be grateful if someone who ordered from outside the US could shed some light on this for me. I would be ordering from Ireland so if any Irish or Europeans bought from DJTT in the past please let me know your experience. Thanks | |

Mica Merricks 21.02.2011 | At least here in spain, it has been an absolutely pain in the ass to buy from US now. I ordered about three weeks ago a MidiFighter and some stuff from DJTT (with express shipping) and it hasnt arrived yet cause its kept in customs since two weeks ago. Now I have to pay 23% VAT, importing expenses, tariff, management expenses, paperwork expenses, etc. Results: 40% more of the original price. I bought my S4 at a local online store here in spain for about 800 |

Sadie Mahmutovic 31.03.2011 | Hiya, sorry to bump up an old thread, but iv been waiting for my S4 for just over a week, and iv just found out this morning that its going to cost me an extra 135 quid to pick it up. Now i cant pay this... and if i had known about the charges i might have made a different decision about buying from the US ( im in the UK ) In short, and without going into to much of a rant about the f-ing tax man, these charges should me made clear when purchasing something from the DJTT store. im going to have to wait 3 weeks before i can pay that, and if id known i would have made allowances for it. |
Madalene Ranjan 02.03.2011 | Every countries VAT taxes vary. Be sure to look into before buying, but many customers have told me that after taxes they still saved several hundred dollars. |
Lin Danek 01.03.2011 | Waiting for mine to arrive in South Africa from DJTT. Saved about $300 compared to buying locally. No idea what I'm going to be whacked on tax, but will let you know. Bought my X1 and Audio2 DJ from Juno (UK) - paid NO tax. Here's hoping......... |

Andree Ganas 23.02.2011 | I am glad to have the DVD. All the information can be found in the manual, but the DVD gets you up and running in no time. I would definitely pay $20 for the DVD (mine came with the hardware). If the tax on it is 40% i would still get it. $28 isn't much more. |

Hailey Westen 21.02.2011 | no worrys... you do know ya can buy the dvd on its own from DJTT ? |
Tiffanie Lebarron 21.02.2011 | cheers mark for your reply... your right its not what i wanted to hear. 120 extra custom tax is absurd. i wonder if theres anyway around it. Yeah i was looking at places more local paubala. As i said from thomann who i usually buy off its about 860 and in a dj store nearby (Aquarius sound) its about the same price. To be honest the only reason i would buy from DJTT is the ean golden dvd and the chance of a midifighter golden ticket. Did you have to pay tax on the midifighters paubala? |

Hailey Westen 21.02.2011 | hello there my Irish friend... i got my S4 from DJTT and im in DUBLIN. i got mine before xmas when the were out of stock and i had to wait on back order. i paid 119 euro custom tax i know it was a shock to me too... and i wouldnt mind, but DJTT had marked down the price of the S4 to 500 dollars or something like that, id hate to have seen the charges if they didnt... but overall i saved about 120 euro but the xchange rate was a bit better then... hope that helps you with your question, even if it may off not been what you wanted to hear (read) |
