Reply to monitor sound not working with s4

Hey guys got an s4 the other day and everything was working fine until last evening when i went to go get on it. The headphones were not receiving any sounds. I Checked in preferences and made sure the outputs were correct and they were. Not sure if this is a hardware or software issue. Has anyone else experienced this? I wasn't sure if a reinstall of tp2 would do any justice either. Thanks in advance.
