s4 and mic input: i need some clarifications
Posted on: 06.05.2011 by Janella Schlappich
I want to use a mic with my s4 (never tried till now O_o), so i just put my PC mic (wich ofc is not the one i will use in a club enviroment, but it works for a try :P) and turned mic vol up.....
no audio out from it
tried to move the gain and the mic volume... nada....

there is something i'm missing?
i've checked the options in traktor, and seems ok to me

I will buy a decent mic and an adaptator from 6.3mm to stereo RCA to use it as live input and to put effects on it, but i wanted to try out how it works fist, without the risk of spending my money worthlessly ^_^

i've just bought a prodipe TT1, works just fine
i can confirm: the PC mic input level was waaaaaay too low, and even with gains set to max, the s4 was unable to hear any sound :P

i tried with usb and thru, nothing changes.
deck D volume fader to full
input gain, mic gain and mic vol to full
deck D set to live input, input 3 and 4 set to deck D.

The mic is plugged in the 6.3mm dedicated slot behind the s4, wich is in the "deck D zone"

Will it work if you connect to to the deck D input and then change deck D to live input? You need to set the switches on the back to Line and thru if you want to do this. Maybe post a screen shot of your input preferences so we can see if something's off.
