So, ive been searching all over the internet, without finding the answer .. so!

I have been a controllerist i while now, my friend has Pioneer MK3 i believe.
Now, i'm getting bigger on the DJ Scene in swedish evening clubs and i want him to run along. Is there anyway we can DJ together with both my S4 and he's cd players?

Thanks alot.
Cheers

Also, in 2 days i have my first big gig, im rolin with the s4 and a mbp 15".
Anything special i need to know?

Love, dont hate!

Just bear in mind that the Traktor 1 S4 version doesn't support timecode, and the free upgrade to Traktor Pro 2 doesn't include it either... I believe its like a $79 or $139 upgrade to get to Traktor Scratch Pro 2, which does support timecode.

If he's playing regular CD's you can switch two decks to live input and play that way.

You should be able to do so just fine, provided you're running Traktor Scratch Pro 2 (the version with timecode enabled). You could control decks A & B from the S4 and use the MK3s on decks C & D, connected to the live-input jacks on the back of the S4. You'd still need to do mixing/crossfading on the S4 but this should work.

I run a similar setup sometimes with 1 or 2 TTs connected to the S4, with TSP2.
