Effect banks questions
Effect banks questions Posted on: 14.06.2011 by Yee Bedilion Alright, I wanna use effects banks 1 and 2 to control knob friendly effects and map my midi fighter to control arcade button friendly effects. When I change from 2 banks to 4 banks, pressing the deck focus button changes the focus of the effects controls. And from what I can see, there isn't any way to select effects banks 3 and 4 on the S4. So now if I am using an effect on deck A and want to start a track in deck C. I can't continuously manipulate the effects while trying to work the next track in. Is there any way to decouple this function from the deck focus button? I was hoping that I could have no way of affecting the parameters of effects 3 and 4 from the S4 just so I am aware of all that can go wrong while I'm mixing. I like having 75% of the controls in a 1 for 1 type fashion. If you used the X1 and the S4 and used the X1 for effects 3 and 4, would you still be able to change the parameters of 3 and 4 while switching from A/B to C/D? Its just as well I thought Jog wheels where a waste for this very slight problem to be present. What do ya got for me? | |

Yee Bedilion 14.06.2011 | My head is spinning, I've decided I am going to make a user mapping because as it turns out I should be able to map everything to my liking. I thought that if I used the user mapping I would lose functionality but from what I have gathered so far it doesnt appear to be anything that I will miss. I wouldn't mind being able to send a "filter on" command from a knob that moves off center though. Doesn't seem to be available in the user mapping mode like it is in the default mapping. Other then that, I'm pretty sure its only the LED I will be missing. I'll just make my autoloops automatically drop a 16 bar. Then your safe. \ I guess this thread has resolved. Thanks for the help pho-toe-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo-jo |
