Lataency With S4 Sound Card High
Lataency With S4 Sound Card High Posted on: 18.06.2011 by Sharyn Prado HiIm getting a best latency of 15.4 with TSP2 on my S4 soundcard using a Dell XPS using 96000hz. Increasing the processing speed is the only way to reduce the latency. 15.4ms appears a bit poor really though. Ive tried loads of things to improve it but keep getting nasty crackles and pop, BTW Im using the 3.0 driver for the S4 :/ | |

/showthread.php?t=23335 try this guide... if it doesn't work, consider of making a dual boot and only put traktor on the second OS |
Sharyn Prado 19.06.2011 | Right, I tried gigging with the S4 last evening and was getting sound drop outs, I had the wifi on my laptop switched off.... whats the best solution, raise the latency some more? |
Leeanna Ayla 18.06.2011 | 7ms is pretty good imo. |
Breanne Axford 18.06.2011 | You're welcome! Enjoy your s4 I've heard that if the latency is under the 10ms, you're safe! Also, try to quit every program that's running when in a gig! It will improve your latency! |
Sharyn Prado 18.06.2011 | Thanks for the help, it seems to be working a lot better, I played around with the frames and reduced the original setting by half it appears to work well now with around 7ms latency... which is acceptable. |

Sharyn Prado 18.06.2011 | Cheers, it seems pretty simple, Im struggling a bit with getting devcon to work, and have tried reducing the process buffer down to 256, which gives me a latency of 7.7 which is a bit better |
Breanne Axford 18.06.2011 | give this a try: http://www.djranking s.com/community /sho...333#post305333 |
Sharyn Prado 18.06.2011 | Nice program, it says that it should be able to handle real time audio without any drop outs. |
Breanne Axford 18.06.2011 | what does this program say? http://www.thesycon.de/dpclat/dpclat.exe |
