Additional Controller to add to S4 and Midifighter Posted on: 21.09.2011 by Sharyn Prado Hi Im looking for some advice, I already have an S4 and a midi fighter classic set to instant grat mode, but Im contemplating adding to my set up to control effects 3/4 and the sample decks. Im contemplating an X1 but was wondering if anyone could suggest alternatives... | |

Faustino Stringfellow 01.10.2011 | You could consider the Denon Sc-2000, like an X1 but with an amazing jog (better then the KS4 IMHO) - i have two of them and love them, in fact i prefer them to the S4 at times. Or the reloop controller edition, i haven't used this one for very long (just a shop try-out), it's very responsive. both devices are made from sheet steel, so they are very strong. |

Christina Fallo 28.09.2011 | MF Pro? |
Johana Randone 28.09.2011 | I've looked at the X1, but already have an S4, and feel I have enough kontrol (if you'll excuse the pun..). And I do have an external DJ|io, so maybe that'd work, I'll look into it. I just thought the Kaoss Pad's looked neat and seemed to give more fx options. I also just discovered the MIDI Fighter, being a new member to DJTT. Might research that a bit. |
Nedra Fresneda 27.09.2011 | Using a Kaoss Pad ain't the best idea with the S4 since you are plugging it on the master out (unless you get an external soundcard). Get an X1 or a LPD8 |
Johana Randone 27.09.2011 | Have you thought about using a Korg Kaoss Pad?http://www.korg.com/products.aspx?ct=95 I don't have one, but am really interested in them. Anyone have any input about that? |

Leeanna Ayla 22.09.2011 | S4, MF and X1 are a fantastic combo!!! I used my X1 mainly for sample deck control and it worked out great. |
Sharyn Prado 22.09.2011 | I just tried a new mapping which rendered my midi fighter redundant due to the use of 2 effects, must say I enjoyed mixing with it... the x1 would be useful for filters on the sample decks in this case |
Kecia Wnukowski 21.09.2011 | Ipad with TouchOsc templates and X1. With the midi fighter, those are probably the best add-ons. |
