Reply to s2 plus launchpad, .. change?

So, using the vci arcade i was using a lot my launchpad for MF gratif mapping and for cue points, now that i'm using the s2, i noticed that i really use few times all these buttons.
I was believeing of buying an X1, but then i thought that maybe the launchpad would be ok with the 2.5 upgrade.
What do you believe?
DO you use often you midi fighter for effects?
