Reply to Kontrol S2 not working with Scratch Duo 2? Only the level knob works

I have to have the setup wrong or something. I cant figure it out. When i connect the S2 to my laptop and open Scratch Duo 2 it doesn't interface with Duo 2. My S2 does nothing. The only thing that works on the S2 is the level knob. When i turn that the volume will go up and down but that is it. Nothing is lit up up except the USB symbol in the middle. but everything lights up for a second when i turn it on so i know that at least works.

I noticed on the program Duo 2 the picture of the kontrol board to the left of the picture of the audio and load bar pictures at the top center left is not lit up like the load and audio is. Why is it not lit up? Is it supposed to be?

I have installed the driver. I have done the setup wizard configured so that it knows i have an S2. I have gone to settings and set the audio device to S2. What am i missing why doesnt it work?
