Mapping for the 'Mail Level' & 'Headphone Cue' Volume.

I have seen a couple of posts on the community about the mappings for the 'Main level' dial, but nothing for the Headphone cue level. Can't work out why the level dial in the centre of the S2 (not the master soundcard volume at the rear of the S2) is not mapped to the the main volume on the software. So pretty much making this dial redudant. Is this correct or should the dial serve a purpose?
Also can't work out why the Headphone cue on the front of the S2 unit is not mapped to the headphone cue on the software, just doesn't make any sense???

Can any one explain to me why this is and if this is right.

Many thanks

Not sure if this is the same with the S2, but on the S4 the cue knob was hardwired so you could still use it in the event of a software crash.
