EFX Reset
EFX Reset Posted on: 21.06.2012 by Jake Vierow Hey there guys,I saw a video for creating a build effect But there was a cool setting that the instructor did, where when you turned the knob the group settings would jump back to their original settings. For example, if you changed the FX from a delay to a reverb and changed the settings, but then you moved the man FX knob your original settings would, reinsert all the efx associated with that control. I'm sure I missed something in the video, but if some one could point me in the right direction on how to do this I;d really appreciate it. Many thanks in advance. | |

Lorri Bobar 22.06.2012 | i went thru the same tutorial just the other day - my first foray into mapping mulit fx, so cool. something she doesn't do in this vid, but i believe is pretty neat, is to also map the knob as a button > direct on mixer > fx 1 on > deck a (or whatever number you are using) - which activates the FX on that deck and also fx > unit on > fx unit 1 (or whatever number) - which turns the fx unit on and then repeat for however many fx units you are using. so even if you've been messing with other buttons and turning stuff on/off, it will definitely apply the fx and switch the deck onto those fx without any weirdness. kinda just makes it neater. |
Jake Vierow 21.06.2012 | Fantastic. Thanks mate. I know I'm missing something really simple so I'll sleep on it and try again tomorrow. All the best. |
robin loo 21.06.2012 | no time wasted. i like helping people out here.. i only believe priscilla (armyofme) explains it really good (better than other tutorials out there). cant really explain it in a more comprehensive way in traktor 2.5. they renamed the commands a little bit.. this will help you find the right ones : https://traktorbible.com/articles/ma...nd-finder.aspx |
Jake Vierow 21.06.2012 | With all due respect. I had watched the video a number of times, but was having difficulty understanding how she made all the settings including changing the type of effects by just moving one knob. I understand how to set up the actual parameters for the effects themselves. But to be able to change the actual effects lets say from the delay to a reverb. And then have the delay to reappear with the touch of a knob left me a little confused. So I thought I'd reach out to the dtt crew and see I anyone could help. Sorry if this wasted your time bro. All the best. |

robin loo 21.06.2012 | by original you mean the FX for the sweep? this is just a mapped effect select. she shows it from about 3:50 in the video.. |
