Kontrol S4 with CDJs - Is HID possible? Posted on: 03.07.2012 by Ossie Pooley Hey guys,I used the search function and couldn't find an answer. I'm more curious than anything else but is it possible to connect a pair of CDJ2000s to a Kontrol S4 without using timecode but rather HID? | |
Ossie Pooley 03.07.2012 | Hey guys, I used the search function and couldn't find an answer. I'm more curious than anything else but is it possible to connect a pair of CDJ2000s to a Kontrol S4 without using timecode but rather HID? |
Ossie Pooley 04.07.2012 | Ah cheers guys! |
Addie Engbrecht 03.07.2012 | Just remember the jogs and what not will not only control the cd in the CDJ but also whatever you have in Deck A/B at the same time. You could always just unplug the USB cable from the CDJ's or if you arent going to be using Deck A/B while your playing cd's I guess you could always just turn the volume down or clear the decks. |
Nedra Fresneda 03.07.2012 | Sure, just set decks C and D to "Live Input" in Traktor if you wish to play regular CDs, it's not needed for HID. |
Ossie Pooley 03.07.2012 | Say the S4 is connected to a computer, along with the two CDJs. My question is would it be possible to, in addition to that, connect the CDJs to the S4 in some way to use as inputs for decks C and D. |
Nedra Fresneda 03.07.2012 | The S4 needs to be plugged to a computer, it's not a standalone mixer. |
Ossie Pooley 03.07.2012 | Okay cool. So I can use both but I can't use the S4 as a mixer, correct? |
Nedra Fresneda 03.07.2012 | Yup, the devices shouldn't interfere with themselves. |
