Can i delete old versions once I've updated to Traktor 2.5? Posted on: 25.05.2012 by Wilhemina Torrico Hi,I have just upgraded to 2.5 but still have original and 2.1.1 versions on my hard drive. Will 2.5 be affected if I delete all old versions? | |
Wilhemina Torrico 25.05.2012 | Hi, I have just upgraded to 2.5 but still have original and 2.1.1 versions on my hard drive. Will 2.5 be affected if I delete all old versions? |
Sparkle Faldyn 29.07.2012 | It's not an upgrade per se. It installs in a seperate folder than your previous Traktor version, no matter if it's 2.1.1 or 3.9.1 or 5.Tits.Balls. Did that answer your question? |
Vanna Hochstadt 25.07.2012 | are you saying that if 2.1.1 is the most stable version, that i should delete 2.1.2 before upgrading? |
Celine Surico 24.07.2012 | Keep the latest old version you believe is stable around, for me it is 2.1.3. Just in case. The binaries are not big, the support files inside (MacOSX) ~/Documents/Native Instruments/Traktor take space so remove any unused version directories but keep the second version you have around directory. |
Angella Tsukerman 24.07.2012 | Wow that post was like Binary! I don't know the answer to your question though sorry. |
Vanna Hochstadt 24.07.2012 | what if i've rolled back to 2.1.1 from 2.1.2? my library (beat grids, cues, etc.) and settings are all different in 2.1.1 since i've been using 2.1.1 as 2.1.2 wasn't working well for me. now i want to upgrade to 2.5.1..... should i delete 2.1.2 off my mac so that 2.5.1 will upgrade directly from 2.1.1? i feel that upgrading to 2.5.1 without somehow transferring my library to 2.1.2 or deleting it complete will import the older playlist from 2.1.2 (since i was updating it only in 2.1.1). hope this makes sense and hope someone has an answer. thanks. |
Wilhemina Torrico 25.05.2012 | Great! Thank you |
Cristian Carmona 25.05.2012 | i wouldnt delete traktor 2.1.xx just keep it on there. If 2.5 crashes at a gig you want to make sure you have a backup |
Erica Charvet 25.05.2012 | No, it's a stand alone, cumulative update. Delete away! I believe you can actually roll back to any previous version with 2.5, even. |
