Fusion Kontrol S2 DJ Bag Review
Fusion Kontrol S2 DJ Bag Review Posted on: 22.11.2011 by Tashia Mcdunn So I've been searching for a way to carry my Kontrol S2, laptop, headphones, and all the cables to hook everything up with. I was checking the thread on here for cases and bags for the S4 and got pointed towards the Fusion Bags by smittten. He hooked me up with a contact for a US Fusion Dealer and I got a Fusion DJ Mix Bag... you can check out some details on the Fusion Web Site: I just got the bag a an hour or so ago and can tell you that there's plenty of space in there for the S2, laptop and everything else you would need. The quality of the bag is top notch made entirely of a high grade super durable nylon. The color is nice too, black and grey, nothing too flashy and it has a black interior unlike alot of the red interiors other dj bags have. It even has a small stash pocket with a rain cover for the whole bag in case you get caught in the rain. All the zippers have double pulls that are nicely finished in a rubber "F" thats really nice to the touch. There's little pockets all over the bag! It also has a way to hide the backpack straps and use it as a messenger/ shoulder bag. Check out the photos attached for the S2 fit in the bag Anyways I'm super happy with my purchase and cant wait to use it. Thanks to smittten for getting me the hookup and to Nick over at asfabmusic for personally taking care of my purchase. jim | |

Carolina Whinery 12.04.2012 | Thanks for all of the input! I ended up getting the Mono 365 DJ bag. It's amazing! It fits my S2 perfectly along with my 13' Mac plus space for all of my essentials. I found it on Amazon for $150! It was a sweet deal. I highly recommend it. The steel gray color is actually a mix of gray and midevening blue. It looks doper than the black and khaki colored one. |
Johnetta Olewine 04.04.2012 | just pciked up a Fusion Dj Backpack from here for $50AUD plus shipping! Any aussies on here should do themeselves a favour http://www.djwarehouse.com.au/specia...-backpack.html |
Tashia Mcdunn 22.03.2012 | Fingers did you check the Fusion web site scroll down on this page and you can see a vid they made of the bag with the s2 in it... no decksaver, chroma caps or headphones though |
Ricki Markman 22.03.2012 | Ill put some up later on. It has a ton of space though, when I first got it I started stuffing it with gear to see how much it would fit and I was able to get my s2, laptop and maschine in there. |
Carolina Whinery 22.03.2012 | Dopeness. Someone should post pics or make a video where the bag is featured storing the S2 and laptop with headphones. Also with the Chroma Caps on and covered with the Decksaver. Yeeyah! I might have to make one with whatever bag I end up buying. We'll see what's up. |
Ricki Markman 21.03.2012 | I haven't seen the 365 in person so im not sure of the differences, but I believe the kontroller bags a little wider to fit the s4. Either way the mono bags are amazing man |
Carolina Whinery 21.03.2012 | If it's the 365 DJ PACK by Mono, that bag looks PIMP! Looks like a winner. Prolly gonna get that with an S2 Decksaver. |
Ricki Markman 19.03.2012 | Mono Kontroller bag...wouldn't use anything else. |
Carolina Whinery 19.03.2012 | Awesome. Thanks! Looks like it's a battle between the Fusion F1 DJ Mix bag vs. the Big Namba bag. Unless someone out there knows of a better bag or case that holds the S2 and a 13' lappy. |
Tashia Mcdunn 18.03.2012 | You may want to get in touch with them directly with the numbers I have below. Not sure if the price has gone up or what though. Good Luck! Carolina Whinery 17.03.2012 | RE: The Fusion F1 DJ Mix bag. The one that holds the S2 controller. Where did you buy it for $160? I found it for $205 at this site: http://www.fusionbagsusa.com/index.p...ducts_id=16417 |
Elidia Elejalde 09.03.2012 | I recently purchased the Fusion Workstation Bag. For the $10 price different I thought it to be a better option then the Mix bag since it was larger. One thing I notice though is that even with nothing placed into the "Audio Bin" section it is quite a tight fit with my laptop and S2 controller. I have a PC laptop which is not the thinnest..pretty standard I guess. After filling it with some stuff it almost feels like I am putting too much pressure on the S2 buttons. Should this be a concern? An option would be to remove the audio bin section and have all the extras sit loose inbetween the S2 padded section and the laptop. Thoughts? FYI this is what I currently have in my bag... NI S2 Controller 15" Laptop (Fusion Site say fits 17"...ummm NO WAY) In the Audio Bin: NI X1 Controller...in its carry case. NI Audio 6 Sound Card Denon Headphones DI Box Laptop Power Adapter NI S2 Power Adapter Headphones Odyssey L-Stand (taken apart of course) Front Pocket: Iphone Power Adapter Camera Side Pockets: Various Cables The bag fits a whole lot...but again...I still feel that the audio bin and laptop may put too much pressure on the S2 kontrols. All the stuff sitting in the audio bin is sitting loose so I believe the bag's width just might be a tad narrow... Anyhow though I would share... First post! JMo |

Chong Prestwich 27.02.2012 | well ive finally managed to get all my gear in it. headphones (2 pairs) managed to have them in with the controller near the top with cables underneath. and cd wallet in biggest of the 2 back pockets. looks quite neat once you tuck away all the straps. could have made the pockets a lot bigger though, maybe with expandable material or summat, something like this: |
Gene Beauplan 26.02.2012 | I hate this bag, I broke a fucking zipper on it already after a month with only two gigs. It only has a two year warrenty too.. |
Tashia Mcdunn 25.02.2012 | I usually put the adapter in the front pocket or one of the side pockets and most recently i just stopped using it I just go off the usb. Oh and you can pop the plug part off the adapter if you really want to store it flat. I put my headphones in the padded pocket inside the bag but upside down so that the band goes in first. |
Chong Prestwich 25.02.2012 | where do you guys store things that aint flat!!?? Fusion bag arrived today and, yes, it looks like a quality bag. laptop and S2 fit in nicely with good protection BUT.... I cant see where anything else goes! theres plenty of room for other flat stuff: vinyl, individual cds (not cd wallets), notepad, pens, beer mats, frisbees, etc. but there's no way i can get a cd wallet in there too (without forcing one in thus pressing against the S2 controls). same goes for headphones. not even sure the S2 power adapter goes in without risk of bending the pins! |
Nisha Latkowski 22.12.2011 | I use my UDG Akai apc40 bag. The S2 fits with enough space for a laptop and headphones too. |
Kandra Fagler 21.12.2011 | just bought a VOX (guitar pedal brand) padded shoulder bag for $45 SGD (about $30 US Dollars) it is heavily padded and fits the S2 very very well! Will post pics soon-ish |

Tashia Mcdunn 25.11.2011 | The bag itself is padded all around, and so is each of the two sleeves and there's an internal pocket that's also padded so its got plenty of padding. That being said, its not crush proof since it does not have any steal banding or anything like that. As far as the material, I have a couple of Oakley bags, a clive bag, a tumi bag, and a timbuk2 bag and I can say the material is higher quality than all but the tumi bag. The bottom has some higher wear material in case you drag it around or whatever. So material wise it seems pretty bulletproof. |
Valentin Doong 24.11.2011 | One question, hows the.protection? Like if its dropped or kicked on the floor or something? Is it durable? |
Tashia Mcdunn 24.11.2011 | that namba bag seems like a really good option too! But, I really like the individual sleeves for the laptop and the controller that the fusion bag comes with. |
Rosina Steinkuehler 24.11.2011 | +1 on fusion bag. I recently used it to carry S4, Maschine, X1 without any issues. |
Stefan Kosier 24.11.2011 | i haven't personally purchased one of these yet, but there's a Youtube video that shows this bag as a perfect fit for the S2 and all your stuff as well. it's $160 too. seems about the ballpark most 'gear bags' seem to be in. http://nambagear.com/big-namba-studio-backpack/ |
Gene Beauplan 23.11.2011 | |
Tashia Mcdunn 22.11.2011 | It was about 160 |
Gene Beauplan 22.11.2011 | How much? I need it |
