Promoting yourself at the gym? Posted on: 21.04.2011 by Jacqulyn Cruson Anyone else tried this? Everyone at my gym is always listening to music so I figured I would make a mix and hand it out to people at the gym. You never know if someone could help you further your DJ'ing career Here's the mix I made, its pretty mainstream dance music, all vocal based, since I believe that is what most passive music listeners prefer. http://soundcloud.com/dj-rhyn/electropop-dance-mix# | |

Jacqulyn Cruson 23.04.2011 | I listen to all kinds of music, my favorite is probably techno and dub, I didn't believe that would mesh well for people doing cardio. I agree for lifting you would probably need something with a bit more of an edge and some peaks and valleys in the mix. I have business cards and I plan on just putting a card in the sleeve with all my info on it and handing it out to the people doing cardio. Good way to meet girls as well |
Leeanna Ayla 22.04.2011 | That's a good idea. Maybe leave a few CD"s in the locker room labeled cardio mix or lifting mix. Put your website on the CD's Talk to the management and offer them some mixes for group fitness classes. maybe you can work out a deal for them to waive your membership fees. Give them some free ones first though to get them hooked like crack. |
Trudy Wittler 22.04.2011 | Nice idea bro. If i ever decide to exercise i may just have to try this out |
Angelica Santabarbara 22.04.2011 | This is a really nice mix. My question though, if your gym has lifters and cardio people there, which group will you give this to, or both? This is a fantastic cardio mix, but in my opinion as both a lifter and runner, there is no way I could lift to this, I need harder stuff to lift to. For cardio though, this is perfect. This is a really good idea and I'm probably going to steal it from you and do it at my gym too! But, I'm not sure what type of music you enjoy or mix with, but maybe you could give this mix to the people on the treadmills, but make the lifters a harder type mix just for them? That way, you could appeal to both ends of the spectrum, and basically get everyone in the gym to listen to the best type of mix for what they are doing. |
