I had to get it down in a mix so back to my roots on this one. My take on the sub genres is to leave them separate for the most part. I find liquid is a good base to start from, you can lean it either way from there. Most of the dancefloor stuff is quite loud and abrasive, it cuts through minimal really easily as most of the tune is in the top end with synth. I find it difficult to get these layered up like I do minimal, theres just too much going on! I believe you really need to know your tunes inside out to be able to build and take away energy harmonically, without it being too obvious. Youre right, it truly is an art and a product of dedication. |

It's odd, but I find it hard to stay with one general style or vibe when I'm making a mix, I really like how consistent your mix(es) are. it's weird, I like the DJs that bounce between styles, but when I do it I feel like I'm just playing tracks because they fit harmonically...it really is an art not a skill ya know. Any way as always, excellent phrasing, well paced, and harmonically works..excellent mix |
