Hope that cleared it up,lol
What do you mean with "a clean version"?

And thanks for your clarification too, but now I really don't know what bootleg means.

BTW, completej, what tools did you use to make this?

Haha no worries, thanks for the feedback. Music is music - if you can make it better by tearing it apart, then by all means. Ultimate credit goes back to the original people.

I used Ableton and all the basic tools, no plugins / VSTs. Analog / Operator for some synth work and some click kicks where needed.

Another thing - a bootleg used to mean a snagged recording from another source, like a radio rip or something, so I guess that definition has changed a bit?

@djspinnaspin - what do you mean "clean"? I purchased the .wavs on both tracks and exported the same, though compressed to 320 for soundcloud. I have the original .wav if you really want it / need it. If the .wav sounds muddy, perhaps it was the times where I used a limiter on a few of the layers before exporting the final version? Not sure. Anyone else hear any problems with it?

Thanks again for the feedback yall!

Hey CompleteJ:

I made a little rework of your mix but gave you complete credit in the description of the video. If you would like I can take the song down, but I just wanted to let you know that I appreciated your mix so much.

I bought Rattle a couple a months ago but I really don't like the bouncy part in the middle.
Why? I just get the image of a silly man jumping around and bending his knees to the beat. Idk... weird.

So I just cut that out and added the original rap version of the song.

Here's my rework of your version:

Please read the description too, you will see that I gave you credit multiple times and also linked your profile to give you some more views.

Thanks man, appreciate it. TBH I don't know if there is a true definition of a bootleg, but I believe it's a form of a remix / mashup where you don't have the rights necessary from the artist(s) to use their work. At first I thought it was just a remix where you have one track with vox from another track laid over it. So, I dunno 100%.

I like it. Lot's of energy. I have to ask a really noob question, but what is a "bootleg"?
